Just updated the GD-77 with the firmware and software to change a couple of channels, but now notice I do not have any scan groups and power settings anymore...,

OpenGD77 does not use scan lists.
Scanning is similar to most amateur rigs.
All channels in a zone will be scanned by default. Individual channels can be excluded from the scan by setting the skip flag in the channel details menu.
The special ‘all channels’ zone has its own all skip flags.
