Greetings everyone! I'm thrilled to be a user of the OpenGD77 firmware in my TYT MD UV 380 and the Retevis RT3S/GPS. When asked, I tell other hams that flashing these compatible radios basically turns a commercial rig into a ham radio! Instant on and the Quick Shortcuts are really great features. Thank you to the worldwide team that has produced this amazing code.

Unfortunately TYT / Retevis have replaced the CPU in the RT-3S / UV380 with a unmarked clone of the genuine chip, and now radios no longer work with the firmware because the clone chip does not support the necessary functionality to run the operating system that the firmware uses.
Anyone who has RT-3S / UV380 manufactured before about November last year however is OK, and I'm sure there must be a lot of older RT3S's kicking around.
