I noticed:
When the Radio enters HotSpot mode and it does not transmit, the radio does not lock.
When, at least once (TX) is performed, after some time the radio locks up.

installed 12/7/19 updates.

I know that this is lower priority, but will mention it to update this thread.

Still have the intermittent hotspot hang on Pi-Star "Transmit" bug. This appears to only happen if the local hotspot has received an over the air transmission (Parrot on individual RadioID, not group ID) at some point which was forwarded to the VOIP infrastructure (Brandmeister), then the response transmitted by the hotspot locally.

It fails randomly a few minutes later, even if some other call (group ID) voice packets were received from the VOIP infrastructure.

Is there a recommended tracing setup for use on PiStar to observe the USB port?

Hi Roger
I had this happen. Only once did the radio display a message which said "Waiting for Pi-Star" never had it display that message again.
Hope that Helps to tell whats happening.
Cheers Matt.

I think that’s a different problem

I've now got my OpenGD77 hotspot running in the debugger and I'll see if I can catch it going wrong.

Can someone let me know what TG's you use, where the Hotspot hangs on Tx.

Because I have feeling that its certain conditions on certain talkgroups, and network conditions that cause this problem.

My hotspot has been running for an hour, not going much, for an hour, with no lockups, but those TG's were quiet, so I"ve moved it onto 91 and I'll leave it there for a while.

Interestingly.

I just changed the power when there was an incoming signal, and it seemed to have the Tx hang thing for about 10 secs, but its now recovered.

No special TGs that I use, just our local 220 (Serbia), 220011 (Belgrade 1) & 220010 (Belgrade 2).

OK

I will try those later today when there may be some traffic.

So far no luckups after at least 1 hour on TG91

Still working OK. on TG91.

How long does it take to go wrong.

BTW. What Raspberry Pi are you using. I'm currently using a 3B, connected via Wifi
