it seems i have same problem but with simplex have you tried 8.11.2019 firmware?
i did opened https://www.opengd77.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=273 for it but now after i found this one.
try the older firmware to see if you have same issue than me

After try to connect to our local repater on VHF (Hytera RD985) I have the same problem as Andreas:

The radio didn't connect, the red led only blinks and the TOT-Timer does not count down.
After flashing the original Firmware 4.2.8 the radio work normal, but I rather would use the openGD77 firmware..

Like Andreas I try to turn off the calibration, but the problem is still there. Furthermore I take a look at the calibration-values in the radio, no abnormally values within.

did you tried 8.11.2019 firmware? (to me problem started on 10.11.2019 firmware)
i can upload old firmware for test if you dont have it, just for test.

im also lookingon github changes at that time, it seems deviation things have done at that time

got new gd77 today, out of the box vhf does not work with opengd77
Also not even other GD77 could receive on same frequency.... it is so bad on that radio.

i can confirm with opengd version 8.11.2019 it works fine. no problems. all good

Confirm: Version 8.11.2019 seems ok, I can connect the VHF-repeater. Hope this can provide some indications to fix the bug #173

Would it be possible for you to install the development environment, so you could compile your own versions to test.
Its not that difficult.

What you mean? i do have myself compiled todays firmware. what you suggesting? all i know "latest" dated back to 8.11.2019 is last working firmware with VHF what i know.
The 10.11.2019 and newest versions(including todays one) have already the issue.

I'm not sure, have no real skills with development or compilation

But maybe with some hints i can compare the changes in the source-files - Notepad++ has a good compare-plugin.
