TG and ID issue with Repeater

Post by KU4ZD » Sat Nov 23, 2019 2:22 pm

I am having a problem with local repeaters (my hotspots work fine).
The issue is the TG only showing TG0 (or last Heard if I switch over to my hot spot and make a contact). The contact also displays 0 or blank). On TS1

These repeaters are Nebraska MotoTRBO network DMR MARC. I am having the problem using both the channels from my cps and VFO channel.
This has started with the last few firmware revisions. I am having this problem on two radios. This is happening on three different repeaters (all same type and network.

I have cleaned up my CPS, I have cleaned up my contact database.
I have tried to write a fresh, new Code Plug and also import a new set of ID's. I have also adjusted some of the settings to try to improve sensitivity but that did not help

Is this happening all the time.

No TGS shown at all?

Yes all the time, it has been going on the past few firmware updates. It either shows tg0 or if I do a parrot test it will show that talk group when anyone else brings the repeater up (last heard tg). If I switch over to my hotspot and there is traffic and then go back to the repeater, when someone talks on the repeater the tg and I'd from the last heard on the hotspot comes up. Not who is on the repeater. If I turn the radio off, then back on, the repeater again comes up with the tg0 because there is no last heard in memory. The hot spot works fine, it is just the repeater. The factory software works fine.

Do you mean it intermittently shows TG0, but sometimes shows the correct TG ?

No,
It always shows tg0 or the last heard talk group and I'd if I go from the repeater freg to a hot spot, receive a tg and i then go back to the repeater freg and some one comes up on the repeater it will show that last heard tg and I'd from the hot spot. It is the last heard in memory. The hot spot channel works fine, it is just just the repeater that will not show the right tg or id.on ts1

aarrghh

Very strange.

TG0 means its not put the TG into the list

It sounds like its not putting the TG in the list for the repeater at all :-(

I have been doing everything I can think of to eliminate errors on this side but not finding anything, it is strange.

Could be the type of repeater or dmr mac. My hot spot works fine too, just not the repeaters and just on ts1

I have a local DDMVM BM repeater and also local DMR+ repearers using DR3000 hardware.

They all seem to be OK at the moment.

But I"m running unreleased firmware, so there is a chance something is different
