Yeah, it is. I found that while researching online, getting acquainted with new battery/bike/other tech, so I don't kill battery worth about 1050 AUD at Honda's dealership.
Edit: just one more thing to add, then I'll stop with off-topic... The worst thing I found one could do to Li-Ion battery is charge it while it (battery) is colder then 0°C.

The battery pack is probably standard cells, but with a proprietary charge controller with encrypted communications to the engine management controller etc
