Radio locked with the latest firmware

Hi Alex,

I just loaded the debug firmware and will let my GD77 sit for a few hours and will grab the data off the screen if the keypad lockup occurs.

Loading the firmware OpenGD77_201912022106.sgl (from the localisation support thread) in my radio fixed the bug

after a few hours I tried again. It came up working for a few strokes then locked

turned it off and on and then it was ok

Please try again with this new debug version.
I hope this resolves the issue.

NOTE:
As before only for keypad lock testing. Everything else could be broken.

Hi Alex,

I let the GD77 with the first debug firmware you posted sit for 2.5 hours and then powered it on . The GD77 started up fine and in spite of a lot of keypad presses it has not locked up at all. Note that the "normal" OpenGD77 firmware was always locked when powered up after waiting that long. So... the first debug version appears to run fine with my particular radio. I will try the debug version you just posted and let the radio sit again for several hours to see if it locks on start. If it's locks up I will gather the data and post it here.

Hi Rob,

perhaps these are two issues. One after power on and the second while using.

Hopefully I fixed both. But it's difficult to debug, as my GD77 has never locked unintentionally.

Yes, that is difficult to troubleshoot if the problem is not there for you! I just loaded the newer Debug version and confirmed that it powered on with the rig warmed up. No problems using the keypad to engage all functions and I let it scan several DMR repeaters for a few minutes without any problem. I powered it down and will let it sit for 2 hours and then see if it powers up without the keypad lockup. If it does lock up I'll grab the debug data and post it here.

FYI.

Even with Rob's data installed on one of my radios, I left it overnight and the keypad worked straight away.
