Missed Private Call and the display lighting

Post by DO4CZ » Mon Dec 09, 2019 6:52 pm

Missed Private Call and the display lighting

I got a Private Call today, but I could not answer right away.
When I then pressed the "functon" button to see who had called, this pressure on "function" put out the message on the display.

Actually, I just wanted the lighting on and I can read who had called, just as it is elsewhere / always so.

Is this a mistake?

In any case, that's not practical ... ;)

PS: I then used PC (I made a call and was also called again) it worked Perfect!

Sorry for the Bad English...

There is already a bug report about the Private call message not staying on the screen and an issue in github

You mean this? => https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/ ... issues/199

I think it is not this problem.

The notification is displayed correctly and remains on the display.

Only if I turn on the lights to read it better the notification will be deleted.

OK

I see what you mean.

We seem to have some other problems as well, with TG and PC's being confused.

I tried to call my radio via private call and its now displaying TG 5053828 which is not correct.

I think something happened with the changes to lookup the contact from the TG number and I don't think its handling the PC correctly any more :-(

Hmmm...
Here private call has worked well and everything worked as it should.
The private call contact / number was also displayed correctly.

I am working here with the last version from 09.12.2019

Thanks for this project and the already brilliant firmware for the GD-77! ;)

umm

For me its showing TG 5053238 but it should display either PC 5053238.

Perhaps the confusion is because I am calling myself using the same ID

I think something has gone quite wrong with this.

I changed my ID to my other ID (UK callsign) but my other radio still displayed the message to accept the call.

This is not correct either :-(

Sorry Roger
Achso that you mean (display PC / TG) ...
Yes, I was also shown TG instead of PC.
I thought the contact / number is not ok :D

The PC function was still ok

I would call you via PC, if there were not the language barrier ... :D  ;)
