firm version is 13:40:57
the 1801 still transmit if I set channel free in cps when the channel is busy

Ah, so you can transmit on a busy channel, am I right ?
If it's the case, yes, the politness has be changed in that way, the value set in the CPS is simply ignored.

Admit criteria never worked correctly with the official GD-77 firmware. I'm not sure whether the official DM-1801 firmware supports this correctly

The more I use repeaters, the more I wish that OpenGD77 had Admit Criteria. Not something you need on the hotspot, but knowing that you're getting into the repeater is a great thing to have. I know the original firmware didn't have it, but not sure it that was just a bug or there's no way to detect this on the GD77.
Maybe if someone is looking for a challenge and also wishes they knew if they were really making the repeater might look into it

Admit criteria doesn’t tell you you are accessing a repeater. It just stops you transmitting if the repeater is busy to prevent you keying up on top of another user.
