Easy DMR

What do you think about making a bookmark in CPS or a separate CPS for radio amateur who are starting in DMR.

Many ham radio operators who are just starting to work on DMR have many problems to program the radio (we know that DMR is not a radio-friendly system).

"CPS Easy DMR" version will allow entering the minimum amount of information like DMR ID, callsign, QRG RPT ...
the rest will be the default and not showing.

Over time, they will be able to use full CPS to tune many radio parameters.

I am currently simplifying the CPS to remove unsupported features.

And I agree it could be made even easier.

I think what you are suggesting is a Wizard, where the user is taken through a series of basic steps to enter the essential information into their radio.

That's right, a Wizard for those who are just starting to use DMR ;)

I would suggest a program that asks a series of basic questions then creates a CP for a selected radio. The program could be expanded over time to create CPs for other radios using the same data. Rich
