Now I just installed the beta firmware of today 12th November. I have set echo level 3. I keep the radio in test. I'll let you know if it still reboots.

I've made a new public beta, with some changes which hopefully will fix the rebooting problem

If you radio was rebooting and you use Eco 5, please try Eco 4 or lower values.

Note.
I did not make any changes to when the radio is in suspend mode, so reboots during suspend won't be fixed.

Please try eco 1

Hello Roger, I have two old GD-77s from 2017 and I still use the beta from 11/10/2021.
I have no problem with a reboot here, use the Eco Level 2.
Maybe because of the old hardware?
Strange that others have problems ...

I know other operators in Germany have tested the private beta and did not have any problem
strangely, it seems to be operators in Italy who are mostly having this problem.

I wonder if its problem with some traffic on Italian TGs or repeaters.

BTW.

If version from 11/10/2021 works fine, then don't load the 12/10/2021 because even on Eco 2, the 11/10/2021 version consumes 10% less current when the radio is idle, than the previous versions.

Its possible that the reboot is not actually related to new power saving techniques

Fixing such a strange mistake will certainly not be easy. I hope you can fix it without undue effort ..

Yes, i still have the beta from 11/10/2021 on the device.
I didn't see any reason to flash the new beta either, because everything is ok here.

I'm permanently listening on my hotspot (simplex mode) using the firmware from 11/10/2021 with Eco 4 and the radio never rebooted. The hotspot operates in multi mode, so the radio receives (but silently ignores) D-star and C4FM signals as well. There are call-up talkgroups from 3 countries statically linked to the hotspot together with some local repeater groups, so there is a lot of traffic, sometimes even overlapping conversations etc., and the radio handles it smoothly with no problems.

I checked the download count and over 200 people have downloaded the version from 11/10/2021 and only a very few people had the reboot problem

Heve been runnig the Public Beta (2021 11 10) since two days 1 reboot. Eco Level 5 but scanning TS filtering enabled.
Had fluttering audio, which was gone in the previous releases.

One more thing.

Beginning with the previous beta, I have been having trouble setting offsets in VFO mode. From the radio, I can't change the Tx frequency, as it is locked to the Rx frequency. From the CPS, I can enter a Tx frequency that is different from the Rx freq, but after I write it to the radio, it resets to the same values.

I can enter the duplex paring in one of the channels, and it sticks.

I saw this behavior in one of the earlier betas, but it went away.

I keep testing again.
