One more thing.

Beginning with the previous beta, I have been having trouble setting offsets in VFO mode. From the radio, I can't change the Tx frequency, as it is locked to the Rx frequency. From the CPS, I can enter a Tx frequency that is different from the Rx freq, but after I write it to the radio, it resets to the same values.

I can enter the duplex paring in one of the channels, and it sticks.

I saw this behavior in one of the earlier betas, but it went away.

Thanks.

You mean SK2 + down arrow on the VFO is not working

Hi Roger,

thanks for all your efford (thanks to the other supporters as well)
Heve been runnig the Public Beta (2021 11 10) since two days 1 reboot. Eco Level 5 but scanning TS filtering enabled.
Had fluttering audio, which was gone in the previous releases.
OK.

If the radio is scanning then Eco mode should be ignored, so its possible this problem is not related to any of the power saving changes.

We had reports of reboots for the last 3 weeks of private btea testing, even before we made any changes to reduce current consumption. So perhaps the problem is something completely different

Daniel reminded me there was also a possible problem with DMR ID's in previous versions which can also cause a reboot

Can anyone who is experiencing the reboot problem, please use the latest CPS to upload their DMR ID database again.

The latest CPS is in the same overall folder as the last firmware

You need to:
* first make a backup of the current flash,
* swap the chips,
* power on the transceiver, which will display a "CAL DATA ERROR",
* restore that backup using the CPS

Cheers.

Thank you for this information.

Can you also tell me the part number of the flash chip you used?

25Q128 128M-bits 16M-bytes

Daniel fitted this chip, not me

I have 2 radios which have 25Q64 8Mb in them, but these were factory special's supplied to me by TYT. I did not upgrade them myself

Note. The 8 and 16mb chips are a bigger footprint than the 1Mb 25Q80 fitted in the radio, so you have to be slighly creative when you modify the radio to make the larger chips fit.

On my radios, TYT bent the pins backwards so they went under the chip, onto the exising pads.
I don' know what Daniel did to make his 16Mb chips fit

A W25Q128FVSSIG, you need to slightly bend/squeeze the pins to fit the footprint, as packages are different (SOP vs SOIC).

Cheers.

The previous Public Beta works in that way, the current version does not.

Still, I would have expected the CPS to allow the change to the radio.
