GD77 does not require a DFU driver becuase in DFU mode the radio mimics being "Human Interface device" and Windows has a built in driver for this.
Does your GD77 already have OpenGD77 installed, or does it currently have the official firmware installed ?
I ask becuase there are bugs in the GD77 DFU which can prevent the radio being updated, which are caused by bugs in the official firmware
If the same cable works on a UV380, it should be OK on the GD77
Look in the windows device manager, and open the HID branch and count the number of devices, then plug in the GD77 when its in DFU mode and then recount and there should be one more device.
If not then Windows is not seeing the radio
dfu mode

Re: dfu mode
The CPS stalls after clicking the button, "select a file and update". it locks up the cps where i have to go into the task manager and end process to kill the stall. and it does it on all three of my gd-77s. This is on a PC with windows 11.
Re: dfu mode
I never saw anything like that happening before.W8LDO wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 5:43 amThe CPS stalls after clicking the button, "select a file and update". it locks up the cps where i have to go into the task manager and end process to kill the stall. and it does it on all three of my gd-77s.
