GD77 does not require a DFU driver becuase in DFU mode the radio mimics being "Human Interface device" and Windows has a built in driver for this.

Does your GD77 already have OpenGD77 installed, or does it currently have the official firmware installed ?
I ask becuase there are bugs in the GD77 DFU which can prevent the radio being updated, which are caused by bugs in the official firmware
the firmware installed is 20231231193513 in the gd-77's that i am trying to upgrade.
OK.

If the same cable works on a UV380, it should be OK on the GD77

Look in the windows device manager, and open the HID branch and count the number of devices, then plug in the GD77 when its in DFU mode and then recount and there should be one more device.

If not then Windows is not seeing the radio
Under the HID branch I have 4 usb input devices, and when i set the radio in firmware upload mode i get a 5th one. Windows beeps when connected.

OK.

So Windows is seeing the radio.

What happens when you try to flash updated firmware to the radio ?

The CPS stalls after clicking the button, "select a file and update". it locks up the cps where i have to go into the task manager and end process to kill the stall. and it does it on all three of my gd-77s. This is on a PC with windows 11.

I never saw anything like that happening before.

Do you have another PC you could try
