I've started a new Ongoing development version

https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/ ... 2020.08.04

Changes since the last stable release.

* Fix for FM settings not being correctly configured when switching from DMR to FM when in Channel mode. (Thanks to OK1PT)
* Fix for bug when switching channels with TG lists of different length, caused a TG not in the list, to be loaded. (Thanks to Daniel F1RMB)

Daniel has also updated the User Guide, which had some technical problems caused because the Master and Development versions had both been changed in different ways, and the automatic merge had not succeeded, which resulted in some warning messages being left in the User Guide.

The development version has been updated with 1 bug fix and 1 change

https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/ ... 2020.08.04

* Fix for bug where "Allow PC" was affecting hotspot mode. Hotspot mode should now disregard the Allow PC setting, as it was an unintended consequence of the changes to splitting the TS / CC and TG filtering etc, which cause Hotspot mode to use the Allow PC setting.

*Change GD-77S so that band limits are not applied, because there is no way in the UI to disable or enable band limits.
GD-77S users should set channels which they don't want to be able to transmit on, to "Rx Only"

I have updated the Development version to fix 2 bugs.

See

https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/ ... 2020.08.04

* Fix for bug where changes to Colour Code made in the Channel details screen, were lost when the codeplug was read into the CPS.
* Fix for bug when Min Brightness was set to the same value as Brightness. Where backlight was turned off and did not come back on until the radio was rebooted (Thanks to Daniel F1RMB).

The bug with the Colour Code read-back into the CPS was actually that the Channel data in the codeplug, contains separate Tx and Rx Colour Code values, and the firmware used the RxColour value for both Tx and Rx.

However the CPS uses the TxColour in preference to the RxColour values, and hence the changes that the firmware makes to the RxColour were overwritten by the Tx Colour values which the firmware did not use.

Hence the firmware has now been changed to use the TxColour value in the codeplug, and this appears to resolve the problem without appearing to cause any side effects.

Will anyone using this new version, please check the CC values for your digital channels in case there is some problem with the firmware now using the TxColour value instead of the RxColour

PS.
I don't know why the Codeplug format has separate data storage for Tx CC and Rx CC, because I don't think even the official CPS or official firmware allows these to be set independently.
