Hi Sal
No worries..
Its easy for me to guess what it says in Italian, because those words are no so different from English
I have also visited Italy several times and know a few Italian words.

Two new languages were supplied to me.
Brazilian Portuguese and Slovenian, so these have been added to the firmware.
See
https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/ ... /languages
And as the languages list is now quite long, I've alphabetically sorted it, except that English is the first / default language.
I've not had time to build voice prompts for these languages, and the prompts would not be complete as they would require a lot of translations.
If anyone is interested in voice prompts for these, please let me know and I will create the necessary CSV files which are used to generate the voice prompt packs
Nothing else has changed.

Not really a development version...
But I've created an experimental version which has a form of Monitor Mode by holding SK2 (Blue button on the GD77)
The firmware can be downloaded from this Google drive folder
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing
You need to hold SK2 for 2 seconds to activate monitor mode, and pressing any other button while SK2 has been held down, will turn off Monitor mode again.
It works for DMR and FM but currently the radio does not switch to FM mode if in DMR mode and no DMR signal is detected.
This will take a bit more thought and a lot more programming, but I'm sure its possible.
There is a chance that the radio ends up in monitor mode, and if it does this, especially on DMR, you'll need to go into the Quick menu (orange button) and re-enable the TS and CC filters
On FM just turning the radio off and on again, should probably clear it.

sorry Roger enabling the monitor in DMR would I listen to any CC on that frequency or does the CC scan activate? now i can't prove it i'm taking a walk by the sea

Sal,
CC scan should activate, as that filter is definitely disabled, because the CC text is changes to inverse video,
I just tested it on Simplex and duplex, and it takes a few seconds for the CC to lock to the transmission, but it definitely worked.
But after you release the CC value returns to the original value, it is not a CC scan function its only to listen while the SK2 button continues to be pressed.
