work only when key is pressed, not switch to repeater input. I must still press keys when repeater input measure signal. This is not practical, in one hand radio with pressed 2 keys and in second hand directional antenna.

Again, yes, it's designed like that.
If you want to exchange RX and TX frequency, copy the channel to VFO, and using the contextual menu (orange button). From there, you can permanently exchange the frequencies.

Its good to know its not just me thats running these new development releases.
Hi Roger,

Just a quick note to let you know the development version [91dec5d] July 2 2020 is running great on both of my GD77 radios. No anomalies noted with DMR or FM functions and also with general scanning. I ended up using the "Joey" voice for the prompts because my wife likes him. Of course I went back to the beeps because I got jealous...

One thing I noticed is that as I recall, several firmware version ago, when engaging a channel scan there would be a double beep, with the second beep slightly higher in pitch. I've noticed that this does not happen anymore and the GD77 just silently takes off scanning. Not a big deal for me but it might be for someone who relies on the beeps for confirmation.

Thanks for all the enhancements to the best little radio out there!

73, Rob W1AEX

Thanks.

I also noticed on voice level 3, it keeps attempting to announce each channel name during the scan.

This needs to be fixed as well as reinstating those beeps

I just raised a PR for the beep (it's a single one, on longpress event), it's not possible to restore the short + long press beeps, as the button management has changed.

EDIT: the PR also fix the prompts when scanning.

Cheers.

Greetings all!
Thanks, Roger and everyone else who has contributed both to the voice propts effort, And for adding the 77s to the included radios.

I’m blind, and you have so greatly enhanced my access to this radio, and increased the sֽope of its abilities.

I am wondering if there is anyone who is willing to assist me in learning how to use Open GD77 with a screen reader. I’m having difficulty navigating within and using the software.

I can be reached directly at:
PpapyRon@outlook.com, so we can take this discussion offlist.
