Hello Roger, first of all I would like to thank all of you developers for the enormous work to make this great software survive. About the problem with BlueDv as a hotspot even before the last OpenGd modification it was not working. I have tried to use the version of TCPUART 1.2 and everything is ok.

Thanks for this information.
I just tried, BlueDV is working with TCPUART until 1.2.3 (included). Something is broken in 1.3.x versions.

Cheers.

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for this information. I too was able to get BlueDV for Android working in Hotspot mode using TCPUART 1.2.3. Lots of people will be happy to know this.
Thanks, but all the merit goes to IW2FHM, as he gave us the solution with the 1.2 serie.

Cheers.

Oops. Sorry Roberto! Thank you for telling us about the older version of TCPUART. Thanks, Daniel, for helping keep the credits right!

Wow, was NOT expecting a spectrum analyzer, very very cool! I do have a few suggestions.

Would it be possible to persist a signal on the screen so that if you're not watching closely you don't miss it? Like maybe leave a dithered display of the signal on the screen for some period?

Would it be possible to let the user pause scanning, manually scroll the display (or the center line, some indicator) to a peak and then drop into that frequency?

And maybe a way to turn the backlight on/off while scanning (and stay on, etc)

Been watching it run on 144.400 just for giggles, I have an APRS node on 144.390. Just wanted to see what it looks like, etc, it does show up if it catches it at the right time and I"m watching and I imagine it'd be really obvious on longer transmissions.

The May 29th is the most recent release version, the June 12th is the latest beta? Is that the correct way to look at things?

Put another way, if I want the most up to date, stable version, I should load May 29th, but if I want the most features, but possibly more bugs, use the June 12th version?

Mark, K4ED, the answer to your last question is: YES

But even in the beta, I could not find any or 'more bugs', nor I am being afraid the GD77 may go up in smoke.
Ham Radio is experimental, enjoy the last beta!

First time with the new process, but basically easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

1. Downloaded and installed the June 13 CPS
2. Download the zip file from from Radioddity, extract the GD-77_V4.3.6.sgl file.
3. Download the June 13th OpenGD77.bin File
4. Run the new CPS from the desktop
5. Connect the radio to the computer via the UDB to speaker / Mic cable with Radio ff
6. Turn radio on while pressing the blue and black buttons on the left.
7. In the CPS program, select the Extras, then Firmware Loader
8. Point the CPS to the locations of the *.sgl file and the location of the *.bin file
9. Load firmware.
10. When it's done, unplug radio from USB cable, turn off and on
11. Enjoy!!!!

First time with the new process, but basically easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

1. Downloaded and installed the June 10 CPS
2. Download the zip file from from Radioddity, extract the GD-77_V4.3.6.sgl file.
3. Download the June 10 OpenGD77.bin File
4. Run the new CPS from the desktop
5. Connect the radio to the computer via the UDB to speaker / Mic cable with Radio ff

Wish this had been up the other week, got GD-77_V4.3.6.sgl file loaded, but then did something not correct and ended up having to do a reset.
Now, the reference to June 10 OpenGD77.bin File, I have OpenGD77.bin, dated June 18, is this okay, if not where is the June 10 file to be found ??
