I have uploaded the firmware and voice prompts files for a new public beta

https://www.opengd77.com/downloads/PublicBeta_20210904/

This version should be considered as experimental and may have various problems.

Daneil has modified a lot of the internal DMR code to resolve various problems, however new problems may have been introduced

There as a few minor bug fixes.

Some experimental functionality has been added for satellite operation
The CPS has also been updated to support the satellite functionality.
For details of the satellite functionality see the User Guide.
https://github.com/LibreDMR/OpenGD77_Us ... ite-screen

Many thanks to all the beta testers including ik0nwg, n1id, vk4jwt, vk7zcr, w1rhs, fs94b1.

Edit.

This version has just been reported to have intermittent problems with the beeps and possibly with DMR audio

If you experience any problems please reload the last stable release

Awesome job! Many thanks to all involved!

I checked the OpenGD77 upcoming pass predictions against the phone app that I use and they were all spot on except for one.

This upcoming pass for AO-91 has a max elevation of 89° and OpenGD77 displays a correct polar view graphic but it reports the max elevation as 75°

Thanks again for adding this great feature.

What Max elevation did you phone report, Some higher number.

I think there is possibly a bug in the prediction of max elevation for high passes, which I will need to investigate. It doesnt seem to be all high passes which are incorrect, just some of them.

Please note I've received a report of the Callsign display stopping working after a while and also the DMR filters not working correctly all the time.

This version may not be 100% stable for DMR use.

Can you tell me your Lat / Long, and also what time / date of the pass.

Was the shape of the pass correct ? On the polar display ?

I'll try to replicate the issue, because the problem is not quite what I thought it may be.

Phone predicted max elevation of 88.7°

This pass just completed and the OpenGD77 polar plot displayed the correct current elevation during the pass. The displayed current elevation incremented all the way up to 88°

The shape of the pass on the polar plot was correct.
Thanks.

I think this is becasue the time of the max hight of the pass is not at half way between AOS and LOS times, but I'll need confirm this.
