Public Beta (2021 09 10)

Post by VK3KYY » Thu Sep 09, 2021 11:48 pm

See

https://www.opengd77.com/downloads/PublicBeta_20210910/

Changes include.

Fixes from Daniel to DMR subsystem, including ...
With DMR TS filter disabled it is now possble to manually change TS, by pressing Star (*) (short or long)
Bug fixes to satellite mode
Re-organistion of options menus

See the User Guide https://github.com/LibreDMR/OpenGD77_Us ... r_Guide.md

Some localisation updates.

Some voice prompts update.

It should be noted that of the 17 supported languages, only 6 are currently being maintained. :-(

Its impossible and impractical to attempt to maintain the other 11 languages, without native language speakers updating all the appropriate files

Link seems broken... There's a *_PRIVATE* part that shouldn't be there. But no one noticed, cause no one reads manual.

At the moment the satellites.txt file will be overwritten if an updated CPS is installed, bake sure you keep a backup of your modified version of that file
yes I saw that I could load one database or the other, but I did a merge of NOOA.txt and amteurs.txt and then I loaded it from the PC
Change the download URL to

https://www.amsat.org/amsat/ftp/keps/cu ... sabare.txt

Initially I used this URL, but there was a problem with the ISS keps for several days, where the time was incorrect by 2 minutes, so I changed to Celestrack

If you change the keps URL it will be remembered by the CPS even after you update

Cheers

Roger
Excellent news I try immediately

Oh, thank you. I thought they hadn't posted the manual yet after the changes.

Thanks

The only way I have to test the User Guide links etc before its released is to make a separate file then delete it

I accidenly posted a linke to the the test / private file

Just a small suggestion, when the date is requested, then immediately after there is the locatin, but to change the time you have to go back up. Perhaps it would be better to change order of sequence Time,(press arrow down) Date (press arrow down) Location

I moved the time to make it easier to access, but probably both time and date need to be changed together, so I will change the order

Order will be

Battery
Time
Date
Location
Temperature
Battery graph

This is a bit off topic, but since you might be tweaking the manual for some changes along the way here maybe post it here... Am I overlooking the QuickKey explanation in the manual? I can't seem to find it in there and was forgetting earlier how to do it. I guess I'd forgotten you have to clear one before assigning it to something else. Anyway, didn't see it in the manual.
