A new public beta is now available

https://www.opengd77.com/downloads/PublicBeta_20211110/

This includes an updated CPS, however the firmware will work with the previous CPS version.

Changes include.

* Bug fix scanning in DMR mode with TS filter disabled
* Bug fixes to DMR ID database lookup
* Bug fix problems with backlight in Manual mode and start-up
* Improved CPS data transfer speeds
* Improved battery life, when the radio idle in Eco mode, or in suspend mode
* Time calibration option has been removed, because it is now longer needed.
* Squelch and power level changes now appear in a small popup for 1 second, on the Channel and VFO screeen, like they previously only did on the satellite screen.
* 16M byte Flash memory is now supported for anyone who wants to modify their hardware by removing the 1Mb chip and fitting a 16Mb chip. (F1RMB has made this modification to his radio)
* Upgrade FreeRTOS to v10.4.3
* CPS: filter out invalid DMR IDs
* CPS - DMR ID download screen now allows download from a user specified URL, with options of which fields to use from that URL, and the download from Ham Digital has been reinstated.

Note.

Although this version has been in private beta testing for at least one week, it contains a lot of internal changes, and may contain some new bugs which we are not aware of.

Thanks as every to Daniel F1RMB for his work on this, and also to all the private beta testers.

Hi Roger and Daniel,

many thanks for the public beta, it seems to work well at normal use.

One thing i noticed is the menu:
the menus "Satellite" and "Radio Info" show in the same menu items, maybe a bug?

P.S. i don't set the location because i don't use the sat mode

If you don't have the date / time / location set when you try to use Satellite mode the firmware the radio info screen is shown instead, to prompt the operator to enter whatever data they have not entered.

This has not been changed since the last version

If you didn't have defined the location, or set the date / time, and try to enter the Satellite menu, it will automatically jump into the radio info menu to define these settings, as they are mandatory for satellite usage. So, it's the desired behavior.

Ah, Roger was faster than me ;-)

Cheers.

I've attempted to load the current Public Beta on a DM-1801.

After loading the new firmware, i get "CAL DATA ERROR."

Suggestions?

Are you sure you loaded the DM-1801 firmware onto your DM-1801

Loading the GD77 firmware onto the DM-1801 gives this error

Nothing in the calibration has been changed, and this firmware has been installed by over 20 other people without any error being reported
