I had the same error the first time I installed OpenGD77 on a DM-1801, that won't work, you need to install OpenDM1801/OpenDM1801A

Re: Public Beta (2021 11 10)

Re: Public Beta (2021 11 10)
FYI
I have received reports of the firmware rebooting whilst the radio was in suspend mode.
This causes the radio go fully off and time to be reset.
We have been struggling to fix random reboots in the firmware for several weeks, but thiught we had discovered what was causing the problem, and had fixed it.
However it looks like the problem still exists when the radio is in suspend mode.

You are correct.
Gray matter error.
Loaded correct firmware and all is well.

Re: Public Beta (2021 11 10)
No worries
I should possibly put something into the loader that looks for the radio name in the firmware, and if it doesn't find it, gives an error
The partial problem, is the DM1801 is almost a direct clone of the GD77 (but not an exact clone), so the screen works even if the wrong firmware is loaded

Hello, yesterday I installed the latest beta published on my DM-1801 and several times when I stopped listening on a memorized frequency, it restarted itself and returned to factory settings, without codeplug. I turn it off and on again and everything works fine again. All the best
OK.
We though we had fixed this bug, but it seems that it is still present
BTW. The radio does not actually return to the factory settings, the message is caused because the radio rebooted, but if you press OK then turn the radio off and on again, the settings should be OK.
If you radio reboots often, please go back to the previous beta while we try to fix this problem.
Re: Public Beta (2021 11 10)
May I ask what flash memory chip F1RMB used in his GD-77 and what has to be done to get the radio back up and running afterwards?
Thanks for your continued support of this firmware!
