New public Beta.

Changes and bug fixes

* Changes to French, Spanish and Catalan translations (EA3BIL & F1RMB)
* Maidenhead locator is now shown on the location ( Lat / Long). Note position can't be entered in Maidenhead it is only displayed (This uses existing functionality from F1RMB)
* Multiple Hotspot bug fixes from F1RMB
* Fix for DTMF transmission ignoring band limits (F1RMB)
* Fix for TG entry, incorrect beeps if voice prompt was enabled (F1RMB)

Note.

We think that changes made in the last Beta to increase the I2C bus speed, seem to have probably fixed the crash or hang bug(s)

However because this bug seemed to happen to only 1 or 2 people after over a week of operation, we can't be 100% sure that the bug has gone, until the bug has not been reported for 2 or 3 weeks.

Hence the earliest we can declare a new stable release, is likely to be easrly in January 2022

I just noticed that Radioddity released a new official Ham firmware: GD-77_V4.3.9.sgl

Will that be incorporated to the OPENDG77 loading process? I loaded the 12/19 beta today and the only version that the loader allowed me to use was the GD-77_V4.3.6.sgl version.

You must still use version 4.3.6
We only use it for the AMBE codec.
Every time Radioddity release a new version the location of the AMBE codec in their firmware changes, so it won't work with the OpenGD77 firmware.

We will not be changing the firmware to work with the new firmware, unless the old official firmware is removed from their server, and this is very unlikely to happen, as they have never removed any previous releases from their Amazon S3 bucket.

Good morning, I installed this new version and left it in dmr mode for a few hours, everything was working very well, it made me happy, but after nothing it restarted. After it restarted the first time the interval between restarts decreased. In FM mode it works normally.

What is your callsign?

I see someone on the Facebook group saying the same, maybe something has been made worse. I've had my GD77 off and on today, someone keeps bringing up TG91 so I turn the radio off, too much noise, but I'll keep monitoring to see if I see any reboots myself.
