Hello I put my RT3S with the opengd77 3 weeks ago now.

how should I proceed to update with the new one? and what are the changes between the two?
This is a release for the GD77 hardware type of radios, not the RT-3S type.

Can anyone remind me what to do with "out of band" error raised during transmission after update?
I remember there was discussion about it on this forum, but did not find it myself.
I just flashed my DM-1801 with new release and unexpectedly faced this error.
Band limits setting ?

Are you a Ham and using the radio within the Ham bands ?

BTW. I just loaded my DM-1801 with this release and had no problem operating with the 70cm Ham band

I am newbie in Ham in fact, trying to get into this area (without good progress yet unfortunately due to work and home activities).

You probably did not select the official / donor firmware file in the CPS

FYI.

You do not need to select it for each upload, you only need to do it once, and the location of the file will be stored. But if you move or delete the donor file and upload the firmware again, then DMR functionality will not work

Tonight it seems it's not my night.
Beside this: after the hole in the water with md 380 (not UV), I brought back my dm 1801 on which I already have a opengd77 firmware (I used it as hotspot back in 2020-2021). I want to replace the firmware with this new one, but: when I connect it with its cable, windows 11 says that the usb is not recognised. I saw that should not be any driver to install (?).
The cable is working, since it's the very same I use to program an anytone 878.
Now: what am I missing? -.-

Thanks in advance

Baofeng use a special cable. You can't use a cable for MD380 etc with a Baofeng
