A new Beta version is now available

You MUST use the latest CPS to install this firmware version

downloads/GD77/643b365e8d164db254d3159de553afa5d8e4c6c0

downloads/GD77/Latest

This version has a calibration screen with similar functionality to the UV380 calibration screen, in the Options menu
Becuase the GD77 screen is smaller than the UV380 screen, the calibration user interface has been split into multiple pages.
Use SK2 + Up / Down to navigate between pages
Also, note there are only 2 frequency calibration data points. 145Mhz and 435Mhz, this is actually the same as the UV380 version, except it was not clear on the UV380 version that there is not a frequency calibrarion data point per power setting calibration band.

It also has the Talkaround functionality, for repeater channels, which is being added to all firmware versions

Thanks to Daniel F1RMB for his work on this and the other firmwares

Hello everyone

I updated to the latest firmware "Stable release (2023 03 04)" on my Baofeng RD-5R and after the update, I have a black screen? I had to go back to an old version I had on my computer "(2022 11 29) which works fine! I tried several times and it doesn't work.. I also have a Baofeng DM- 1801 which with the last stable version (2023 03 04) there it works very well?

Has anyone else had the same problem?

One thing that I think you could test if the radio doesn't seems to behave after an update is a config reset:
The radio can also be set to the default settings by holding the SK2 key while turning on the radio.

It's quite off topic, this one is about the Beta from April 23th .
I just successfuly flashed my DM-5R Plus with that release, everything is fine. I suggest you to redownload the zip file, maybe the firmware file you extracted was corrupted.

Cheers.
