I already have Retevis RT3S for that. I like Rd-5R because it small and share accessories with UV-5R. It would be perfect if I can replace the memory chip.

All possible contacts. RadioID lists about 250k contacts, 16Mb can store 350k+ with maximum details

The actual part cost me $2.4 ($11.99/5). I have ordered them from Amazon.com here. However, because this is my first SMD soldering project, I messed up and damaged the board. Now, to be able to fix the board, I need a lot of things like the Microscope, Scalpel knife, and high temp masking tape.

It was a great experience, and actually this is what Ham radio is in my opinions. We play with things, trying to make it the way we want, break it along the way, and fix it. Learning and gathering new skill doing all of that.
