My GD77s use a firmware version Mar 4 2023 efc2c8b D . Have the firmware versions since these posts include the alteration to improve the dmr receive side. Can this timeout be adjusted or what please ? 73 de Les G0FAJ
This thread releates to a post I made in 2020, so the information in it is totally obsolete.

Last firmware release was December 31 2023, however there were no changes to the GD77S, so updateing to that version will not make any difference to your DMR Rx.
Thankyou for replying...So can any alterations be made to the firmware to improve the RX DMR side of my 2 x GD77 s please as is shown in the 2020 version of firmware please ?

This post relates to some experimental changes in 2020

If any of those experimental changes improved the Rx, they would have been in the 2023 version you are already using.

OK Roger...Thankyou for explanation...It is a shame my gd77 cant be improved on RX on DMR, otherwise with open gd77 in it the rig is great. 73 de Les

These radios are super cheap, so you get what you pay for. The transceiver chip literally costs $1 USD, and is direct conversion and suffers from a variety of problems including with interferance.

My understanding is that Anytone, and the mainstream Japanese brands etc have much better Rx hardware and therefore their radios will receive better.
