Amateur radio firmware for the GD-77, GD-77S, DM-1801, DM-1801A, RD-5R, MD-9600/RT-90, MD-UV380/RT-3S, DM-1701/RT-84 and MD2017/RT-82 radios https://www.opengd77.com/
I have now released a version of the OpenGD77 which works on the Baofeng DM-1801
As with the OpenGD77, I will just be releasing the "Latest" version, which is not guaranteed to be stable, but is in use by 3 people at the moment with no major issues.
When and if this version proves to be stable, I'll make a copy this and release it as the Stable version.
I don't know if the DM-1801 codeplug is the same format as the GD-77 codeplug, probably not, so anyone who wants to try this will need to upload a new codeplug using the OpenGD77 CPS, as the DM-1801 will use the GD-77 codeplug format.
As well as the official codeplug being different on the DM-1801 to the GD-77, the calibration data is in a different location , so both on the DM-1801 and the GD-77 I have modified the firmware to copy the calibration data to the same location in both radios (0x0000F000)
And the new version of the CPS uses the calibration table in this new location.
Note. The calibration data still remains in the original location on both radios, so its still possible to reload the official firmware on both radios.
is it hotspot function included?
anyway thanks for the great job
Yes. But it’s not been tested by anyone.
The firmware is identical, apart from the operation of the extra buttons on the keypad.

Hi Roger, wonderful to see that you got this code working on the DM-1801. I have one of those and the GD-77, both using OpenGD-77. I have tried it on my Zumspot Simplex hotspot and it works just fine. I did DMR simplex between the two radios and found the GD-77 transmit audio to be very clear with no background noise while the DM-1801 had some background noise, although not enough to be an issue.

I'd be happy to help test things. Thanks again!
OK.
Thanks for the report.
I think the electronic / RF design of the DM-1801 is not as good as the GD-77, hence the increased noise on Tx and also on Rx.
I've not had time to try getting my DM-1801 to work with my hotspot, as I've been fixing the power levels on the DM-1801, and doing a load of other stuff.
Can you backup your calibration from the DM-1801 and zip it an attach it here, so I can try it in my radio, to see if I can get it to work with my hotspot
