Hi Roger,
yes, RD5R original firmware can receive FM 88-108 MHz.
The function is selectable in Buttons in CPS. (A very nice feature, :D )
Can you replicate these function here ?
Probably not at the moment. Unless EW1ADG who did the original port of the GD-77, has time to add this function

This is fixed now
Hi Roger,

RD5R: VFO Quick Menu 6 item to choose (VFO:A or VFO:B is missing  )
Grazie e buona serata

It's not missing, you have a dedicated button A/B ;)

Cheers.

Ah, my bad. I don't have a DM-5R at the moment, it's waiting for delivery.
Na, you can't switch, yet.

Cheers.

Actually, the original firmware is very well achieved, it allows access to the FM radio through the configuration of buttons, it also allows you to have a flashlight with that configuration, for me it would have to be improved with the power change and something else, it would have to be a firware written for the RD5R not an adaptation of the GD77 is my opinion Thanks

"A/B" acts as a "LEFT" and "band" acts as a "RIGHT"
"VFO/MR" - switch between VFO and Channel modes
to switch VFO use long pressed "A/B" button
to enter Quick menu use long pressed "VFO/MR" button
----------------------------
but now the long pressed "A/B" button no longer work :|

Great, then you're free to install the official version back, or start to write your own firmware, with all the useful features you want, like a flashlight, broadcast FM received, etc.

Seriously ?

Yup, we are all (almost) grounded, but sometimes it's also fine to think twice before posting.

The firmware port for the RD-5R isn't finished, yet few things need to be fixed, missing key emulation needs to be implemented, bugs need to be fixed, etc. So, reading such comments could be considered rude and disrespectful, for all the people involved in this project, at any level.

Adding gadgets support (like flashlight, as alarm or not, FM Radio...) isn't the main goal of this project, and far from the top 10 priorities.

Double VFO "listening", which could be considered as a VFO A/B scanning, that's another story, but still not in high priority todo list.

Cheers.
