Just restore only the 64k flash using the Restore Flash feature in the opengd77cps, on the opengd77 support screen on the Extras menu

OK. I thought I'd modified the CPS to allow partial files to be uploaded.

Did you use the latest OpenGD77 CPS.

You can also just upload the full Flash backup. It will mess up your codeplug, but thats all.

BTW. Don't upload the codeplug again after uploading / restoring the files, as the codeplug upload will overwrite some parts of the Flash backup

Yes, I solved the problem. Well in my case I have to flash the 2.2.5 firmware. This can n ot be done by the OpenGD CDS, but must be done by the Baofeng firmware flasher...

We don't fully understand the data header in the encrypted firmware files, hence the Firmware loader is only able to upload the OpenGD77 / OpenDM1801 etc, which all use the same data header copied from much older GD77 firmware.

I never was able to get any of them to do anything. I have not tried the 2.2.5 firmware because I was never able to find it.

Baofeng seem to like hiding their firmware
