That would be even worse then switching it off.
TYT MD-9600 / Retevis RT-90 : Experimental version
Re: TYT MD-9600 / Retevis RT-90 : Experimental version
I think the level of noise probably depends on the resistance of the connections between the panel and the main board. Like Roger, my three radios only have a very slight, almost inaudible, sound in the background. Reseating the cable may well improve things on bad radios. Or maybe fitting an additional ground wire between the panel and the main board.
This is probably why the official firmware didn’t have any way of dimming the backlight.
Colin.

Re: TYT MD-9600 / Retevis RT-90 : Experimental version
Hello everyone.
My radio is MD9600-UV-V2.1-170608.
I also have a problem with hum when the backlight changes less than 100% in FM and DMR.
While I decided so - the backlight is 100% and turned it into inverse mode. 73!

Hello,
I have installed the new release for now so good good ....
I would like to ask you for a change that I believe will be useful to everyone, the sequence of items in the menu is impractical, I would see it better like this:
Zones
Contacts
Channel details
Firmware info
Language
Satellite
Options
Last heard
Radio info
RSSI
What do you think ?
the choice is more immediate by doing UP and DW you have undergone the main things.

This is your own personal choice. Anyone who uses Satellite mode will not like this arrangement.I1KDO wrote: ↑Tue Feb 15, 2022 5:00 pmHello,

Just assign QuicKeys if you want to get to specific menu's more quickly

Plus the fact that menus keep track of the previous selection.VK3KYY wrote: ↑Wed Feb 16, 2022 7:00 amThis is your own personal choice. Anyone who uses Satellite mode will not like this arrangement.I1KDO wrote: ↑Tue Feb 15, 2022 5:00 pmHello,
