Dist. Sort
Re: Dist. Sort
Well, automatic sorting has also a bad side effect, like you're in a QSO and suddenly the channels are sorted and the current selected channel is another repeater.
The chosen fix is the force channel sorting by opening the QuickMenu, and press GREEN button on "Dist sort" entry. Of course, you can define a Quickkey for that.

I'm still trying to test Daniel's change, and it looks like the only way I can do that is to add some debugging commands to the serial connection, so I can fool the radio into thinking its location has changed.
But I'm not sure if I'll have time to finish doing that tonight. i.e My TZ is UTC +10, so its night time here.
Re: Dist. Sort
Don't kill yourself over it, Roger. I'm not in any hurry, your work is already appreciated.VK3KYY wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 10:44 am

Ok.
I didn't manage to test it last night, as I had problems getting the position spoofing to work.
I will continue today
Re: Dist. Sort
I'll send you an email with an experimental version for the MD-9600.KA1CM wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 3:36 pmDon't kill yourself over it, Roger. I'm not in any hurry, your work is already appreciated.VK3KYY wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 10:44 am

Which hardware version do you have ?
Re: Dist. Sort
While I am more than happy with the Distance sorting method I have odopted, I would be more than happy to carry out further experiments on the
MD-9600/Revetis RT90.
My Radio is the Revetis RT90 Version 2. Which I added a GPS module.
