Is it OK to write the openMd380 bin file to a gd77 radio or is there another bin file especially for gd77 radio? I managed to load the official v4.2.6 sgl with success and am now ready to write to the radio.

Roger told you that you don't have to flash the official firmware before flashing the OpenGD firmware.
Does OpenGD77, OpenGD77S, OpenDM1801, OpenRD5R, OpenMDUV380, OpenDM1701 ring any bell ?

You can't write the firmware for one radio hardware type into a completely different radio.

Just to clarify....l am using the open gd77 cps for this. I just want to know what file to select to write to my gd77 radio now that I have loaded the gd77 v4.26.sgl.
I also have a uv380 radio that is now running great with the open gd77 firmware.
