Problem via hf MMDVM
Re: Problem via hf MMDVM
I've had the same problem with one of my 9600. On my Openspot4 everything worked as expected, lately i added a Pi-Star based hotspot to my setup and my 9600 wasn't received at the Pi-Star. My other 9600 and my UV390 worked just fine as they should. I digged a little deeper and found the 9600 in question was about 400 hz off frequency, usally one would adjust at the hotspot (Rxoffset parameter) for that but this caused problems with my other radios. I ended up with adjusting the frequency calibration on the one 9600. Fine tuning done by optimizing the BER at the PiStar dashboard. Now everything is working on both hotspots and all three radios.
I believe the Pi-Star is a bit less tolerant to Frequency deviation on a received signal compared to the Openspot4.
Hope that will help someone...

Re: Problem via hf MMDVM
I've now done the radio calibration for 430 mhz freq adjust from 43 to 70 and it works again at the first pi star hotspot thanks
Re: Problem via hf MMDVM
Since the last update from New Beta 2023 09 03 to New Beta 2023 09 15 I can no longer get a connection to any of my MMDVM hotspots. With the New Beta 2023 08 18 is it working or is there something that needs to be readjusted now
Re: Problem via hf MMDVM
Nothing changed in the RF etc for any of these versions
Did you revert to the old firmware and confirm whether the problem still exists.
Hotspots are not reliable, many people have problems regardless of which radio they use.
Also check your hotspot calibration
Re: Problem via hf MMDVM
I first installed the firmware from version 2023 08 18 on the Retevis. Can the calibration also work with the MMDVM? All versions then no reaction on the MMDVM, which has changed since the last few versions? I'll wait for the next version
