ALPHA 2022-10-17-01

Post by VK3KYY » Mon Oct 17, 2022 10:23 am

New Alpha is available

https://opengd77.com/downloads/MDUV380/ ... 4fa8ef81fe

This version fixes the following 2 bugs

* Creation of new channel from VFO fails when the active Zone is already full
* Creation of new channel from VFO does not correctly set the in-use flags used by the CPS and parts of the firmware

Thanks to Daniel for his work on the first bug.

Good afternoon, you can explain why the increase in power in the radio station is regulated by the button down, and the increase in power by the button down. Well, it's kind of illogical. Or is this how it should be and I'm wrong???

Yes, it is slightly confusing at the moment. This may be changed in a future release but is actually quite complicated to change.

The original GD77 had left and right keys for this. Left was decrease and right was increase. That is still true but the buttons have up and down arrows!

A suggestion
Maybe in the "Radio Options" menu, the TX Power option could be there.
So there was a key free for something else

Clarification by mistake.
viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2425&start=10#p20134
The sound disappears, probably at a low volume. It is restored when the volume control is rotated by an angle of more than 50%. Switching channels does not restore sound. I was wrong about that.
This error appeared on the version from 10.16 and was repeated on 10.17.

We need to figure out if this is an error of my hardware or software with a certain combination of settings. Friends do not have such a mistake yet.

PS
Video of the error demonstration. Another radio station is playing in the background.

Thanks for your information.
Now you have identified it as a volume control problem I have managed to reproduce the bug on my radio.

It only seems to happen when you are using low volume settings and ECO mode. If you have the volume control above about 30% it does not happen.

Maybe the people who are not seeing the problem have their volume controls higher than yours. I certainly did.

The problem is actually a bug in the HRC6000 chip which I thought we had fixed, but it looks like the fix only works at higher volumes.

Now that we can reproduce the problem it should be possible to fix it.

Colin.
