For details of the FM APRS functionality, see viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3120

We will update the User Guide with these new features soon.

Thanks to Daniel F1RMB for all his work on this release and also thanks to Colin G4EML for answering my technical questions about the C6000 chip

IMPORTANT

Anyone with any existing Emergency System data in the APRS section , needs to delete that data, otherwise the APRS Tx will not work.

MD-9600 does not support sending the messahe / comment data, due to hardware limitations with the tone generators.
In the long term we hope to fix this, but its not going to be easy.

Kudos to the contributors, you may have just developed the first open source, all-purpose HT firmware with APRX TX capability! Well done!

Thanks for a great firmware!
I have installed latest beta on my RT3S and RT84/DM1701.
The boot text now flash only for 10ms and the boot melody is now only a short beep on both radios.
Is there a new setting I am missing?

Edit: went back to prev beta version and boot text and melody is back.

Jørn

Noticed the same on my RT3S , only a beep on startup if I have "Prompt: Beep" , on "Prompt: No Keys" it's silent but that is maybe correct ?

And the startup text is very fast or not seen.
