You are doing a really great job, congratulations to those who dedicate their time to the development of OpenGD77. One question: would it technically be possible to have APRS also in reception or does the radio have an HD/SW limit for such an implementation?
I already answered this question many times

We do not know whether any of the radios have a Rx audio path to the CPU which has unfiltered audio which is suitable for APRS decoding

Thanks for the quick response, sorry, I didn't know the question had already been asked.

I just tried APRS for a while with the rt3s running OPENGD77 and 1w power on the car with an external antenna, doing PTT every little while...

Just another small bug
If you do Aprs TX and have PTT lock on, the frame is sent and the TX stops, but the screen shows "APRS TX" and only goes to the next PTT.
It's nothing major, but I use the PTT lock when I'm driving and it's "hands-free", which has already saved me some traffic fines.
The fix for this will be in the next Beta release , perhaps tomorrow or Wednesday, depending on how many more bugs get reported.

OK. Its strange that it should have needed a full reset.
also had to edit all my analogue channels as they all defaulted to aprs..... lol
not a big issue

Regarding the "Repeater Shift" feature, the Nordic countries use -2 MHz on 70 cm.

Will not send APRS after update, it was before. Channel info shows APRS:INVALID.

Performed a reset, deleted old APRS on CPS and created a new one but still nothing.

73!

EDIT:

Nevermind, I skipped installing the new CPS

Thank you developers for your hard work!

BTW, with all these CPS and Firmware relationships , I was wondering if it's possible to check the radio version from CPS before uploading config ?

But maybe that is complicated to implement.

I suspect this would be unmanagable
Mutliple revisions of firmware work with each version of CPS. Firmware is sometimes released multiple times per week

Its hard enough handling the linkage between the new language files (.gla) and the firmware version and also the Voice prompt version required

Each firmware has its own Git revision code, and its possible that we would update one radio type and not the others. Date/Time code in each radio type is also different , becuase its stored to to 1 second accuracy and it takes several minutes to do a full build of each type of firmware.

i.e there are 3 main types of firmware

MD9600 - This has 4 sub-types x 2 (Japanese and Non-Japanese)
MD-UV380 has 2 sub-types UV380 and DM-1701 x 2 (Japanese and Non-Japanese)
GD77 type radios have 5 sub-types (GD77,GD77S, DM1801, DM1801A, RD5R) x 2 (Japanese and Non-Japanese)

The build process for all radios takes about 15 minutes on a 24 core Ryzen 4GHz PC
