Thank you for all the work. Everything is very good. Will it be possible to send text messages with aprs? And I know it is difficult but it would be perfect if aprs rx.

The hardware is capable of sending other AX25 packets, but sending text without being able to receive texts seems pointless

You are right. But should we wait in hope for that?

The new version of APRS use fix position may have deviations。

The APRS positionning uses the data retuned by the GPS module (GPRMC's (D)DDmm.mm)
The one displayed in the Radio Info has decimation/rounding by design (limitation of the storage), and is NOT used to build the APRS location data.
Better off looking at your APRS frames (e.g on aprs.fi)

And as mentionned earlier by Roger, the embedded GPS module looks to be not that accurate, really not.

What are your APRS settings (in the radio) ?
Also, using APRS config location is also less accurate than radio info's one, because of storage/conversion.

Bear in mind that many conversions are involed here, plus technical limitations (and the final one that build APRS frame, compressed or not), so don't expect to be spot on your high precision location. BTW, using APRS compression also reduces the accuracy, it's 4 digits Base91 compression. And I don't tell you about enabling "Position masking"...

"Position masking" is None and the pic location is setting in the radio, in old firmware aprs location is correct

Hi,

You need to provide a little bit more details, like complete setup (location source, APRS config (CPS), APRS options (Firmware), channel details).
The code that builds the location information into the APRS frame hasn't changed, for the uncompressed version.

Cheers.

The location is correct in aprs.fi but the gps coordinate is wrong on the radio screen.
