No. This is not known problem

Are you sure you installed the DM1701 firmware ?

Please confirm which version of firmware you installed, i.e the link to where you downloaded it from , on this server.

i got it from downloads/MDUV380_DM1701/Firmware/Latest
using the latest CPS
the shell of the radio is slightly different, side buttons under PTT are 1 dot and 2 dot on the newest. boafeng firmware mention radioditty version and they are using boafeng cps 1.05

sticker under battery clearly say DM-1701

Is this a brand new radio? According to a Chinese Ham who posted here last week, there is a DM-1701B which was only available in China, but if your radio doesn't look like the other DM1701 you've seen then possibly its a DM1701B

I've searched for DM-1701B on AliExpress and other Chinese sites but can't see any listed

There is also a Retevis verison of the DM-1701 called a RT-82 and that radio looks different to the DM1701 but is the same electronics

It sounds like your version is slighly different electronics etc But the Chinese Ham didn't say anything about the DM1701B not working with OpenGD77

Having a brand new radio from AliExpres which shows model number as DM-1701, I am experiencing the same problem. Mirrored output, which makes it very awkward to use! :)

Is there any way I can feed some debugging data back to help with the resolution of the issue?

Edit: Worse! The keyboard is also mirrored?!?

Edit2: PEBKAC problem. downloads/releases/MDUV380_DM1701/R2023 ... DM1701.zip firmware works just fine.
