New MD-UV380/390, RT-84, DM-1701/DM-1701B, MD-UV380/390 Plus 10W

A new Beta is now available

https://opengd77.com/downloads/MDUV380_ ... cfc144708f
https://opengd77.com/downloads/MDUV380_ ... are/Latest

Changes in this version

* TYT MD-UV380/390 Plus 10W is now supported.
Note: There is a separate firmware file for these "Plus 10W" radios.
As far as we are aware. The 5W MD-UV380/390 Plus seems to work OK with the normal MD-UV380 version

* There are now separate versions for the Baofeng DM-1701 vs the Retevis RT-84, because the RT-84 has a different case which allows all of the LCD display to be seen, whereas the DM-1701 case obscures the top few millimeters of the display.
Note: The Baofeng DM-1701B seems to be identical to the Retevis RT-84, so anyone with the 1701B should use the RT-84 version.
Currently the DM-1701B only seems to be available in China, but I am aware of people using OpenGD77 with the DM-1701B

* Because of changes to support the 10W radios, the power calibration has been changed slightly.
Anyone who experiences differences in output power should recalibrate the power in their radio.

* Fixes problems of the VFO and Channel screen sometimes being blank
* Fixes problems with AT1846S TRx chip register cache system
* Fixes problem when attempting to transmit DTMF in satellite mode.
* Fixes QuickKey problems e.g. in VFO Dual Watch
* Updated multiple translations
* Romanian added. Note: The latest CPS is required to be able to select Romanian
* Adds Force DMO open to DMR channels. This sets a channel to operate in simplex / DMO even when the Tx and Rx frequencies are different. The CPS has also been updated to support this option.

Thanks to Daniel F1RMB for his work on this new version, and thanks again to the translators

Loaded my RT3S radios with the 20240312 and I think I found a bug related to the display.

Radio is listening on a channel (no scan) and light is off.
Hearing traffic on the channel so I click on SK2 to activate the light but display is blank except for the signal bar.
When I switch/flip to another channel everything is normal again with the display.

Running Eco: 4 ,Display mode: Auto, Timeout: 20s

FM or DMR ?
What are the "Brightness" and "Min bright" values ?

Cheers.

FM
100% and 0%

But after I wrote the first post it seems to work normal again, it's a simplex svxlink hotspot so radio lights up display when hotspot is TX'ing.
I don't think it lit the display when I noticed it even if there was active traffic earlier.

Okay. I will try to replicate (probably tomorrow, it's a bit late for today).

I will keep an eye on it , it seems sporadic, it's probably when the backlight doesn't activates even when I hear traffic that is a sign of the problem.

I apologize, but I don't quite understand: with the normal 5W MD-UV380/390 version, installing this new beta may it be necessary to recalibrate the power?

Because things have changed in this area, so if you have made a manual calibration, you will have to do it again.
