Hi, With external Retevis Mike plugged in, the RT-3S transmits a very short carrier burst each 25 seconds.
And no unwanted transmissions without the external microphone plugged in.
It can be detected by short illumination of the red tx-led, the transmission-tone, and it can be seen as well on an additional SDR-Receiver in mode SSB in the waterfall diagramm.
any suggestion?

RT3S unwanted transmissions detected
Re: RT3S unwanted transmissions detected
Sounds like the mic is faulty and has leakage on the PTT signalDF2HB wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2024 8:20 amHi, With external Retevis Mike plugged in, the RT-3S transmits a very short carrier burst each 25 seconds.

Re: RT3S unwanted transmissions detected
This happens to me too
I have an external microphone on a retevis rt3s KENWOOD SMC-32 and it transmits to me every 15 seconds as if I press the PTT button. On the repeater, the transmission is not detected at all.
The other station (Anytone 878) does not have this problem.
Any idea??
