My Retevis RT3S is making a thump sound when listening on another radio at the beginning of an FM transmission after installing the OpenGD77 firmware. It doesn't seem to do this with the factory firmware.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Also at the lowest possible setting the volume is louder than I wold prefer, especially in a quiet room.
This was also the case with the factory firmware. Is there any kind of work-a-round for this?

As for the thump: I've got the same on my UV390. It's pretty bad, I have no idea what might be causing it though.
Also, the volume is apparently quite hard to get lower because of some weirdness with the way they implemented the volume controls.
You're not the only one wanting quieter, that's for sure x3.

The thump noise seems to be a little worse when set to wide FM.
