First, to all, thanks for all the hard work!
Is there a way to sample, or test drive, the various voice prompts before downloading them and pushing them to the radio?
I'm imagining a web interface which provides 3-5 standard sample where one could click on an icon and have the prompt played over the net......
Thanks in advance and 73.....

Samples
Re: Samples
The voice prompt files are compressed using AMBE, so there is no way to play these on a PC, as the AMBE codec is proprietary.k5fq wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 12:06 amFirst, to all, thanks for all the hard work!

However... We use a free online text to MP3 converter www.ttsmp3.com to generate the files.
The wordlist is in the localisation download folder
downloads/localisation/voice_prompt_texts/
So if you look at the voice names of the prompt files e.g USA Joey, and try using TTSMP3 to generate some audio, you would get an idea of roughly what it sounds like. Albeit when audio is compressed using AMBE they don't sound identical to the original
