Hi Piotr,

Here the fun happens (for me ;) )

Well, since Polish contains some glyphs which aren't part to the encoding we use (windows-1252), some of the characters used in your translation file doesn't exist in the font yet.
In this case, I need to modify the fonts to add these new glyphs, and modify by hand the translation file you (will) give.

In the meantime, there is a lot of missing entries in your translation file, like the following:

Code: Select all

.scan_delay				= "Scan delay", // MaxLen: 16 (with ':' + 1..30 + 's')
.YES = "YES", // MaxLen: 8 (choice above green/red buttons)
.NO = "NO", // MaxLen: 8 (choice above green/red buttons)
.DISMISS = "DISMISS", // MaxLen: 8 (choice above green/red buttons)
.scan_mode				= "Scan mode", // MaxLen: 16 (with ':' + .hold or .pause)
.hold					= "Hold", // MaxLen: 16 (with ':' + .scan_mode)
.pause					= "Pause", // MaxLen: 16 (with ':' + .scan_mode)
.empty_list				= "Empty List", // MaxLen: 16
.delete_contact_qm			= "Delete contact?", // MaxLen: 16
.contact_deleted			= "Contact deleted", // MaxLen: 16
.contact_used				= "Contact used", // MaxLen: 16
.in_rx_group				= "in RX group", // MaxLen: 16
.select_tx				= "Select TX", // MaxLen: 16
.edit_contact				= "Edit Contact", // MaxLen: 16
.delete_contact				= "Delete Contact", // MaxLen: 16
.group_call				= "Group Call", // MaxLen: 16
.all_call				= "All Call", // MaxLen: 16
.tone_scan				= "Tone scan",//// MaxLen: 16
.cc_scan				= "CC scan",//// MaxLen: 16
.low_battery			= "LOW BATTERY !!!",//// MaxLen: 16
So I hardly suggest you to update your file (you may check the english translation file HERE, which contains all extra informations about maximum allowed strings length), double/triple check, then re-submit your updated version, UTF-8 encoded (like the one you gave us in the post above).

Right after that, I will complete the font files, and update your translation file to make it match the font's glyphs.

Cheers.

Hi Piotr,

Cool, I will take a look at this as soon as I get back home, then I will tell you if it's okay.

Thanks.

Okay, it's done. I raised a PR for polish inclusion.

As a side note, I stumbled on 2 translations which are two large, in contact details menu (see attached two other images).
I guess there are some more.

When Roger will make a new release including Polish, I would be nice if could update the translation file, and post it here.

Cheers.

Daniel

How did you edit this file ? Did you use a hex editor to insert the correct codes

No, as usual I use emacs. You can insert octal values using "C-q nnn RET" shortcut.
I will take care of the polish update ;)

Cheers.

Nice. I merged the changes and raised a PR.

Next time, please keep using UTF-8 encoding, as used in the first version, and not this ASCII one.
As my the reference is in UTF-8, and this updated version use an unknown ISO extended ASCII encoding (and of course, badly rendered in the editor) it makes it quite useless to see polish characters.

I guess this update was just about strings length.

Cheers
