Audio issue

I have 2 separate 1701s that ive downloaded the newest firmware to and am getting no audio when transmitting unless the earbud/headset is plugged in. Was working on both radios before updating firmware. If nothing is plugged into the headset jack the only thing heard is static. This is on both dmr and analog

The headset jack is a known weak point on these radios.
It sounds like the microphone switch in the jack is not working.

Yup. Just bought one and it's the same, no audio transmitting in FM or digital, I don't have head phone's to try.

Scratch that, it was the RX and TX tone that I hadn't set, folk new I was there but just couldn't here me.
