DM-1701 Calibration
DM-1701 Calibration
How to save power calibration? I tried SK2+Green (per the manual) but that didn't save the data. (Assuming SK2 is just below PTT on the 1701). Also, Extra/Calibration is grayed out in the CPS. Can it be enabled?

Re: DM-1701 Calibration
Hi,
No, below the PTT is SK1. Above PTT is the "Orange", giving access to Quick menu.
Cheers.

Re: DM-1701 Calibration
Thanks, Daniel. So SK2 is the button below SK1? The manual says SK2+Green should save the Calibration data, but as far as I can tell, it does not.

Re: DM-1701 Calibration
Progress! If you press SK1+SK2+Green on the DM-1701 during Calibrate, it will save the Power Adjust settings. So it takes BOTH SK1+SK2 with the green button. Not to figure out how to get to these data through the CPS.
Re: DM-1701 Calibration
Hi,
You don't need to press SK1+SK2+GREEN, only SK2+GREEN to save it permanently.
The side buttons are, from the top to the bottom: Orange, PTT, SK1, SK2.
If you only press GREEN, the changes are temporary, until you power cycle the transceiver.
FYI, I just tried on my DM-1701.
Cheers.

Re: DM-1701 Calibration
SK2 ( the lowest button ) and green should work on DM-1701.
But it's a but confusing as the top button is S1/SK1 when you enter DFU mode ( S1/SK1 + PTT ) but behaves as Orange when radio is on.
Re: DM-1701 Calibration
In answer to your other question, calibration is not available in the CPS for the newer STM32 based radios, only for the older MK22 types. All user calibration should now be done using the radio menus.

Re: DM-1701 Calibration
Hi,
The manufacturer button naming is not relevant with the OpenGD77 firmware. We use our button naming in the user manual, which is was simplier for the user, even more if he own various models of supported transceivers.
On the DM-1701, the SK2/SK1 are below the PTT. The one assigned to the "Orange/QuickMenu" is the top most one.
Unlike the RT3S, you don't have to press 2 buttons to access the Quick menu.
Check the MD-2017, the number of buttons will blow your mind
Cheers.

You're mixing things. The way the bootloader handles the button is out of our control.

I just tried to view this problem as a new "confused" user that tried to use the manual.F1RMB wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 8:58 pmHi,

Maybe a picture of DM-1701 and its buttons could be added to the manual ?
