Baofeng DM-1701 F/W version

Post by M7TND » Sun Sep 17, 2023 2:19 pm

Hi
I've noticed there is new F/W for all the other models apart from in the DM1701 section.
Has this just been missed out, or is it a different version that won't work on the 1701?
I'm new to openGD77 and DMR, just bought a 1701 that came with an older version of openGD already installed, tried the original F/W and wasn't impressed so want to put the latest openGD on it now.
Does the latest version correct problems with screen colours, etc?
TIA

You find it under RT3S/MDUV380 firmware.

Thank you!
And this works fully with the DM1701?

There is a special ZIP file just for DM-1701 in the download directory.

I'm a little confused, which is the correct, latest DONOR firmware to use for the 1701?

Thanks

Use the same donor firmware as the MD9600 / RT90 , UV380/390 RT3S / RT84

All these radios use the same CPU and hence need the same official donor firmware so that the AMBE codec is the correct for the CPU architectuire

Note.
This differs from the GD77/GD77S/DM1801/DM1801/RD5R which use a different CPU, and hence need a different donor firmware
