Satellite Coordinates

Post by AA4VI » Tue Jan 16, 2024 6:18 pm

I really love the Open GD77 on my Baofeng DM-1701. It has made it a great radio. I also have it installed on my Radioddity GD77. My question is there any way to update coordinates for the satellite feature once entered. I think I have may entered the wrong longitude. I used the CPS to load the satellite keps to the radio. The radio does show predicting and then shows several satellites on the display along with their azimuth and elevation. I am just wondering if entering incorrect information into the satellite settings will give me incorrect data. Thanks

Just go to the info screen with the coordinates in Radio info screen on the radio and enter them again and confirm them with green button (better check the time and date on previous screen and UTC/local time in display setting as well).

OK2MOP, Thank you for the information. That corrected my error. I had entered E instead of W for longitude.

So how do I select W when programming the longitude?

Thanks,
