DM-1701 Formatted Display
DM-1701 Formatted Display
Can you add more space to the top of the display? To be able to see the first lines in full, this is on the Baofeng DM-1701.
The bottom is fine, those that add to the top can be removed in the middle, I'm the one who says it, because I don't understand the subject.

Re: DM-1701 Formatted Display
Source code for the firmware is available to download from this site, so that people can modify it to suit their own radio
Re: DM-1701 Formatted Display
Yes, I know, the problem is knowing how to use it. Not all of us have the skills to do this, I am one of them. Final costumer.
Re: DM-1701 Formatted Display
Hehehe, yes you are right, but the day should have 25 hours. Thank you for everything
Re: DM-1701 Formatted Display
Yes. My days also only have 26 hours
A few months ago, I did check if there was perhaps some simple change to the display to change the Start Y position, but that did not seem to work, so I had to abandon trying to move all the display data downwards
And now we also have other problems e.g. UV380/390 Plus 10W radios not working at all in FM mode (no display even), and problems with accented characters in DMR ID database which need to be fixed
and supporting people who thought they bricked their GD-77
etc etc
DM-1701 top lines of display visibility is not high priority for me, but anyone with this radio can download the source code and try to find a solution, which everyone can use

Good luck with the existing problems and thank you for the attention given to my post.
All the best to you
