My Baofeng 1701 that I got from AliExpress came loaded with OpenGD77, however, the analog channels I put in are squelched out of hearing the replies. I can transmit on them. I cannot hear replies back. The black bar across the top shows that there is RF, but I cannot hear it. I can hear it on other analog only radios.
The squelch is blocking the audio all the way. Even when I set it to zero, it does this initially.
Any suggestions?

The pre-installed OpenGD77 version is certainly older - I would update, regardless of the problem.
