The Retevis RT-82 is their clone of the TYT MD-2017. The radios can use each other's firmware and CPS. It's not surprising that it would misbehave in the same way with existing firmware.
The most difficult part of supporting any of these might be the mini-trackball. Then again, it's the worst feature of the radio and it has plenty of buttons, so it wouldn't be horrible if the trackball isn't implemented at all.
